On the other hand, CTET Exam 2022: Language II emphasizes elements of language, communication, and comprehension abilities. Language II is a language other than Language I, and candidates can choose any language from the provided options. This section also consists of 30 questions, each carrying one mark.

The main question paper for the CTET 2022 exam is bilingual (Hindi/English). Here is the exam pattern for CTET 2022:

CTET 2022: Structure and Exam Pattern:

  • Exam Mode: Online
  • Number of Subjects/Sections:
    • For Paper 1: 5 (Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies)
    • For Paper 2: 4 (Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics and Science or Social Studies/Social Sciences)
  • Duration of Exam: 2.5 hours (150 minutes)
  • Total Questions: 150
  • Type of Questions: Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) with 4 options and only 1 correct option
  • Total Marks: 150
  • Marking Scheme:
    • +1 for correct answer
    • 0 for incorrect answer
  • Language of Paper: English and Hindi (candidates can choose either language)

Candidates appearing for Paper 1 are those who aim to teach Classes I to V, while candidates for Paper 2 intend to teach Classes VI to VIII. However, those who wish to be teachers at both levels need to appear for both papers.
