Student Assessment – SAT 1 July 2025 Class 10 English

and how to solve it effectively.

Here’s a step-by-step smart strategy you (or your students) can follow during the exam:

📝 Best Steps to Solve SAT-1 English (Class 10)

1. Read Instructions Carefully

  • Spend the first 2–3 minutes reading the general instructions.

  • Check word limits for writing questions (e.g., 100–120 words).

  • Notice if there are internal choices.

2. Start with Reading Section (Comprehension)

  • Skim the passage first to get the central idea.

  • Underline keywords (names, dates, important words).

  • Read questions before detailed reading.

  • Write answers in your own words (don’t copy full sentences).

  • Keep answers brief and to the point.

3. Move to Writing Section

  • Practice quick outlines before writing.

  • For formal letters: follow format (Sender → Date → Receiver → Subject → Salutation → Body → Closing).

  • For paragraph/article writing: use clear intro, body, and conclusion.

  • Stick to the word limit; don’t overwrite.

4. Grammar Section

  • Read each question carefully before answering.

  • Revise common rules:

    • Subject–Verb Agreement

    • Tenses consistency

    • Active/Passive voice

    • Direct/Indirect speech

    • Prepositions and Modals

  • Eliminate wrong choices in MCQs first.

5. Literature Section

  • First read the question twice.

  • Use textual evidence (key words/lines from the lesson).

  • For short answers: 30–40 words are enough.

  • For long answers: Structure them as

    • Intro (what text is about)

    • Explanation (main points, character/theme)

    • Conclusion (lesson/impact).
