The word “Mother”, and “Jagat Janni” resonate with blissful unconditional love and care which is the basic need of every child. The reasons for her existence in a child’s life are endless and it applies to the entire living world of humans and animals. The connection of children with mothers seems to be eternal as this bond starts way before birth. If we go to jot down the list of reasons that make moms so important, then it might seem endless, but we have listed the five most crucial reasons why a mother is so important to a child.
1. Mother’s love is unconditional
We understand the meaning of unconditional love after one look in a mother’s eye for her child. Though we have all become experts with words and can precisely convey our emotions, expressing a mother’s love in words is still extremely difficult. A child is always a mother’s baby, even if he reaches the age of 60 or becomes a tycoon, leader, or thinker. In any stage of life or situation, mothers hold this strong aspect of loving their children. Mothers’ unconditional love is what makes them so special to each child.
2. Mothers are the 1st teachers in our Life
A child’s learning process begins before birth or even before birth. We’ve all heard that during pregnancy, mothers should read good books and listen to soothing music. They do this because, even though the child has yet to face the outside world, the baby has already developed a connection with the outside world through the mother. Later, the baby is introduced to the world, first by their mothers and then by others. Every baby learns to call his or her mother first, regardless of language, caste, or custom. “Mother, ma, amma,” is the first word out of the baby’s mouth. A mother teaches her child everything she knows, from talking to walking to living a happy life. She is also the one who disciplines and educates a child in order for them to live a better life. A mother teaches everything she knows, from waking up to sleeping. Mother also goes through the learning process again to help her child gain more knowledge.
3. Mothers give hope and positive vibes
Without mothers, the world would seem pretty hopeless. Life is full of different experiences, some of which are not so positive. A child is exposed to these situations from birth, but it is the mother who, through her love, care, and comfort, ensures that in the end, good always triumphs. A child can always see the light at the end of the tunnel through her eyes and confidence. Whether facing exams, competitions, or life’s difficulties, children always seek guidance and support from their mothers first.
4. Mothers know their children from inside
A mother’s child is an open book to her. She knows her child better than anyone else. Mother is aware of everything the child is feeling, and nothing is hidden from her. She is the best judge of her child’s personality, and she ensures that the child is properly treated and disciplined. Knowing her child’s interests and needs, she adapts to new changes for her child’s benefit and overall development. Enrolling the child in activities such as swimming, dancing, drawing, changing schools, and changing the learning pattern, to name a few.

We all need someone to lean on in times of crisis, especially emotional ones. What better place to be than in the arms of a mother, where all problems, insecurities, and negative feelings come to a halt? A child always needs the mother’s support, whether it’s for school, marriage, or having a baby. She is the one who serves as a solid pillar on which a child can rely.
