Dear Sir/Madam,
As you are aware, the State Government is operating Government Model Culture Senior Secondary Schools (GMSSSS) affiliated with the CBSE Board or seeking affiliation from CBSE. These schools provide education in English medium. Additionally, Government Model Culture Primary Schools (GMSPS) are being established in villages, towns, and cities. The admission process for the academic session 2024-25 has commenced in these schools. The details are as follows:
Government Model Culture Senior Secondary Schools (GMSSSS): (a) Number of Seats: Each school will determine the number of seats based on the available rooms and other infrastructure facilities in consultation with the School Management Committee (SMC). Admission will be granted only on these available seats. The first meeting of the SMC is scheduled for this week.
(b) Admission in Classes: Admission to English medium sections (sections) in Classes I, VI, IX, and XI will be made based on the decision taken in the SMC meeting considering the available rooms and other infrastructure facilities. Admission in other classes will be made only if seats are vacant.
(c) Double Shift: If the SMC decides to operate the school in double shifts, they will be permitted to create additional sections.
(d) Number of Seats per Class: Class I to V: Maximum 30 students per section Class VI to VIII: Maximum 35 students per section Class IX to XII: Maximum 40 students per section
Government Model Culture Primary Schools (GMSPS): (a) Number of Seats: The maximum number of students per section in Class I is 30, and admission will be granted only to students interested in studying in English medium. There will be no Hindi medium section in Class I as in the previous years. The number of seats will be determined based on the available infrastructure facilities, the number of teachers, and CBSE Norms.
(b) Number of Sections: The number of sections (subdivisions) in all classes will be determined by the SMC based on the available infrastructure facilities and will be made available for admission.
(c) Admission Process: Reservation is to be provided under Section 12(1)(C) of the Right to Education Act, 2009, as follows:

- BC ‘B’ 01 a. CWSN (Divyang) Orphan 02 children/HIV affected children School Development Fund (SDF): The SDF is to be utilized for the development of the school. The expenditure incurred for obtaining CBSE Affiliation may be borne through SMC.
Documents Required for Admission:
- Birth Certificate (Hospital/Midwife Register Record, Anganwadi Record, Affidavit by Parents/Guardian for Age)
- Residence Proof (Aadhar Card/Family Identity Card)
- Application Form: The application form prepared by the department should be filled in. This application form will be provided free of cost to parents/guardians by the school.
- No child shall be deprived of admission for lack of documents. Temporary admission will be granted to children/parents, and a period of 30 days will be given to submit the documents.
- If the reserved seats do not receive the appropriate number of applications, these seats will be filled from the general category.
